Friday, June 12 - Monday, June 15
It’s that time again.
Call it homecoming.
Call it a family reunion.
Call it FIERCE, FABULOUS, AND FUN.
This is our time to celebrate ourselves—and each other.
Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved Black Americans in Galveston, Texas, finally learned they were free—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
We gather not just to honor that history, but to celebrate the freedom we are actively living into—freedom in our bodies, our joy, our community, and our healing.
June 12–15, 2026, The Blackyard Collective welcomes you to New York City for our 6th Annual Juneteenth Celebration Weekend—a space to reconnect, rejoice, and remember that we are not alone.
I cannot wait for all of y’all to descend on NYC. It’s going to be a time.
