November 20th is Transgender Day of Remembrance
CONTENT NOTE for our Trans & Nonbinary Family:
Today’s message—and the events held in honor of Trans Day of Remembrance—include references to anti-trans violence and the ongoing harm our communities face. Please care for your spirit, your body, and your boundaries. Engage only in the ways that feel safest and most supportive for you.
Rows of small votive candles glow warmly in the dark, their flames creating soft, reflective light.
“History isn’t something you look back at and say it was inevitable. It happens because people make decisions that are sometimes very impulsive and of the moment, but those moments are cumulative realities.”
Marsha P. Johnson
May we remember the more than 46 transgender and gender-expansive people whose lives were tragically and inhumanely taken through violent means, including gun and intimate partner violence, in 2025.

Mutual Aid Fund
The Blackyard Collective has established a mutual aid fund that will provide direct financial assistance to Black queer and trans individuals on their path to recovery.
As we witness the rise in physical attacks amid a cruel political climate that scapegoats the existence of transgender people, please donate to ensure that we can continue to support the lives of Black transgender people recovering from addiction and alcoholism.
Thank You!
